THE ANNASLEY PARK DIFFERENCE
THE ANNASLEY PARK DIFFERENCE
Annasley Park is not unfamiliar with delivering under pressure on a global stage. At the age of 29, Annasley’s next endeavour is about taking her lived experience into the professional speaking world as a speaker on the topic of FORTITUDE
As someone who chooses to let awe override fear, my focus is on the silent gap between who we once were and who we are becoming. That shift doesn’t happen in a classroom; it happens when we step into a space where there is no room for error and no audience. I put myself in these volatile environments because I believe we can’t truly share knowledge about resilience unless we have felt the weight of it ourselves. These journeys aren’t about the ego of an adventure. They are about bridging the gap between a theory and a lived truth. I go to these spaces to find the clarity that comes from being stripped of modern safety nets, ensuring the insights I bring back are real and earned.
Ocean Survivoar Challenge 2025
In February 2025, Annasley Park embarked on an epic solo and unsupported rowing adventure across the Atlantic Ocean, where uncertainty meets possibility.
The Ocean Survivor Challenge was built on the principle of total autonomy. I became the 9th woman in history to complete a solo, unsupported, and independent Atlantic crossing. It was a deliberate choice to bypass organised races; instead, I built my own team of experts to help me manage the project from the initial idea to the finish line. Over the 54-day crossing, there was no follow boat or resupply. I rowed for around fifteen hours a day, though this was entirely dependent on the weather, requiring me to constantly adapt my pace and strategy to the conditions. While I managed the boat’s technical systems and handled various electrical situations, the focus remained on the discipline of the daily routine.
The crossing began with a capsize within the first ten hours, an immediate introduction to the reality of the environment. Over the following weeks, I navigated through two major systems. One being a North Atlantic storm that brought in huge swells, and a tropical storm from the south that forced me onto para-anchor to hold my position. Despite these challenges, the journey was defined by a shift in perspective. I saw incredible wildlife and the rhythms of living on the ocean eventually became my new way of life. By facing the solitude and the magnitude of the Atlantic alone, I captured the raw reality of self-reliance, bringing that knowledge back to help others find their way through their own most volatile environments.
