Annasley Park, Accomplished Adventurer and Speaker

At just 29 years old, Annasley Park is an accomplished adventurer and speaker, best known for independently rowing solo and unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean. She is now the 9th solo, unsupported and independent female to ever successfully achieve such a challenge. A monumental feat that stands as a living testament to human capacity and fortitude.

Growing up on the military estates of Herefordshire, Annasley focused her passion in sports and in particular, running. Unfortunately she sustained injuries from too much impact training whilst going through her puberty stages of life. However, Annasley picked up a bike as part of her rehabilitation rebuild and during this time, she found a freedom that took her into the mountains. She realised that cycling was going to be the sport that she would pursue as a professional career path, in which she went on to compete for the Great Britain Cycling Team, competing on world class stages. But again due to injury, her career was cut short and she had to understand the process of rebuilding.

Beyond endurance, Annasley then went on to have an unconventional career journey spanning Alpine chalet management, then taking to the American rivers as a white-water rafting instructor in California, followed by travelling around the world for four years as a deckhand on superyachts.

These experiences of going from source to sea has given her unique insights into navigating diverse environments and finding purpose outside conventional structures. Her personal battle with burnout in 2023 ultimately propelled her into a profound study of human performance, behaviour, somatic practices, and conscious leadership. To show the true potential of what the human mind and body can achieve, she decided she would test all of her knowledge, skills, resources and networks that she had gained over the years and take it to the ocean… Cue, the birth of the Ocean Survivoar Challenge! Annasley on boat smilingA 54-day expedition that started in Gran Canaria and finished in Barbados. But it’s the part in-between these two land masses that tells the real story!

Annasley talks offer remarkable insights into what it takes to not just have courage, but to live with fortitude as the ultimate driving force to expanding human capacity in volatile environments, especially when facing pivotal thresholds in life. She shares both her highs and lows drawn from her extraordinary life, filled with gripping stories, practical tools, and an actionable framework that has proven successful. Her message demonstrates how to put power back into the pause amongst the chaos, seek solitude in moments of change to ultimately resurface that unlimited potential that has sat silently within, empowering audiences to push off from the safety of the land, navigate their own highs and lows and emerge stronger on the other side.

Testimonials

The talk had a really powerful impact on those in attendance. Several parents, students and teachers commented on this. Annasley linked her amazing achievement and accomplishments into how this mindset can be adapted and used in every day life. This was linked directly to students progressing from college to university and into the wider world, and how students can ‘run/row/cycle their own race’.
